Ride: Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum
Date(s): Thur 24 Sept – Mon 28 Sept 2026 (5 days)
Description: Please consider joining us for a visit to the largest motorcycle museum in the world with over 1800 bikes on display. Our destination is the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum near Leeds, AL. We're planning for 2 easy riding days southbound, a leisurely day at the museum and 2 easy riding days northbound returning home via a different route. Avoiding Interstates is a priority for our route planning efforts. Time, route, weather factors may support a few historic or nostalgia points of interest (POI) stops along the way.
Lodging: To be determined
Road Conditions: The ride is mostly US highways and State “B” roads, with some interstate.
Costs: lodging TBD 4 nights @ approx 150 per night, fuel for approx 1000 miles (est $120), chow, misc. Museum entrance is $20 plus tax with a modest Military discount offered.
Break Stops: as usual, about every hour or so give or take

Return Time: Monday afternoon well before dark

This is a CLOSED chapter event – members are allowed to bring one guest. Please arrive with tanks full, people empty.
Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member. All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
