Kentucky Twisty Ride – 2026 Edition

Event date:
Sat, 06/20/2026 - 7:30am

Ride: Kentucky Twisty Ride – 2026 Edition

Description: This year’s Kentucky Twisty is a combination of some of my favorite routes from years past. We’ll start with some quick interstate miles to get us to the good stuff — flowing sweepers, creek roads, wildlife areas, and classic Northern Kentucky twisties.

First Stop – Thorntons 3590 Madson Pike Edgewood, KY 41017 (35 Miles)  Quick restroom break

After we regroup, we transition into some of Northern Kentucky’s best riding roads:

Rolling countryside
Light traffic
Smooth rhythm curves
Forest-lined roads
Elevation changes
Great sweepers mixed with tighter sections
Creek-side riding
Technical corners
Classic Kentucky twisty pavement
Fast sweepers mixed with tight bends
A strong finish with flowing curves

🏁 What Makes This Ride Special

Blend of speed and technical riding
Creek roads and wildlife areas
Low-traffic backroads
A “greatest hits” version of past Kentucky Twisty rides

This will be 185 miles full of twists and turns a few switchbacks and beautiful county landscape.

The return back to Powder Keg will be Interstate 275 returning late afternoon.

If you are looking for a relaxing cruise, this is not the ride for you. But if you want a spirited ride slicing through some good corners, this ride will satisfy that craving.

Road Conditions: The overall road conditions are good with occasional breaks in the road.

Costs:  Gas, and Food

Miles:  Approximately 270 miles

Lunch Stop: I am asking everyone to bring their own pack lunch.  I have a cool place for us to congregate for our lunch stop.
