Ride to Buffalo Trace Distillery

Ride Description: Come join me for a beautiful ride to visit Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is the oldest continuously operating distillery in America. During Prohibition the distillery was even permitted to remain operational, to make whiskey for "medicinal purposes".

The distillery sprawls impressively over 130 acres and is home to four centuries of architecture - all still fully operational.

We will visit the George T. Stagg Gallery & Gift Shop. Constructed in 1881 as whiskey Warehouse A, the building housed barrels of aging whiskey for several decades. Today, it serves as the Visitor's Center, gallery, and gift shop.

Road conditions: Route will travel Interstate 71, 275, 75, County highways and 2 lanes back roads.

Attendees will need to comfortable traveling AT EXPRESS-WAY SPEEDS!

Lunch stop: Firehouse Sandwich Shop - Originally constructed in 1950 to protect the many barrels of aging whiskey on site, the Firehouse remained in use until the advent of modern sprinkler systems. Today the building houses the Firehouse Sandwich Stop and contains historical artifacts such as coats and boots worn by the firefighters.

Break stops: Approximately every 50 to 65 miles

Stage: Lot behinds Wendy’s 7:00am

Kickstands up: 7:30am

Kickstands down: Approximately 6:00pm

Please arrive with tanks full, people empty
