The Tail of the Gecko

Ride Description: We will start out at the Wendy’s by the Keg – from here we will make our way to the Chilo Lock 34 Museum and then the Chilo Dairy Bar for Lunch (voted #1 restaurant in Chilo). I have a scanned in menu that I plan to use to allow you to pre-order your food while at the museum (I’ll run the order over to the dairy bar). After lunch we’ll ride the actual Tail of the Gecko (Rt 221 & Old State Rt 68) and end up in Aberdeen Ohio. From Aberdeen, we’ll take the river route for a while then head North on the triple duce (Rt 222) through a working covered bridge and then back to the Keg.

Road conditions: Mostly back roads all the way to the Ohio river, a few roads with no center line

Costs: I will give a donation for our museum tour and you’ll be on the hook for your lunch which is very reasonable at Chilo Dairy Bar.
