Ride: Jeff Allen Road Captain Rocker Ride

Description: We’ll get an early start so that we arrive at our mystery lunch destination before the rush.  Our morning route will be primarily rural roads with plenty of curves, scenery, and a covered bridge.  We plan to eat around 11am, so keep breakfast light and bring your appetite.  There will be a lot of food and desserts available.  After lunch we will make our way down to US-52 along the river via rural roads and state routes with more curves.  We will take a break at Chilo Lock 34 Park to stretch our legs and enjoy some river views and shade.  After our break, we will make our way back to Powder Keg via more curvy rural roads and state routes.  The total distance for the ride is approximately 190 miles.

Road Conditions: Morning and afternoon will be rural roads, back roads, state roads and yes, some curves.  Note that this is a curvy ride, but is not technical and should be suitable for the majority of riders.   Most of the roads are in good-to-great condition.  There are just a few roads with minor-to-moderate tar snakes. 

Costs: Lunch $20-$30. 

Miles: Approximately 190 total.

Lunch Stop: The <mystery restaurant> in Ohio.  There are clues.

Break Stops:  There are 2 AM stops where fuel will be available.  Bikes with smaller tanks should fill up at the second stop.  After lunch, there is one stop at Chilo Lock 34 Park.  The last stop will be at UDF in Owensville.  This will be our farewell stop.
